Handmade leather journal.

Made from rustic red leather, this journal looks better and better the more it is handled and used. Filled with 112 pages of handtorn 140gsm cartridge paper from the local mill, this journal is perfect for sketching, taking notes and can even handle some watercolours.
The Victorian era replica hinge is used to keep the book closed. It is made from cast iron with a pewter finish and attached with hand hammered copper rivets. To open the book, pull the finial at the top and remove the pin. The hinge will then open up, remember to put the pin back in one of the sides of the hinge, so as not to lose it.
All my leather journals are handbound using natural hemp thread and use paper made locally a couple of miles from my studio.
