Made from rustic black leather, this journal looks better and better the more it is handled and used. Filled with 112 pages of handtorn 120gsm black paper from the local mill, this journal is perfect for colour pencil or gel pen work.
The Victorian era replica hinge is used to keep the book closed. It is made from cast iron with a black coating and attached with hand hammered copper rivets. To open the book, pull the finial at the top and remove the pin. The hinge will then open up, remember to put the pin back in one of the sides of the hinge, so as not to lose it.
All my leather journals are handbound using natural hemp thread and use paper made locally a couple of miles from my studio.
